Can i meet jesus

You must believe Jesus really was the promised Messiah, the Son of God that he claimed to be. In faith, you have to completely rely on Jesus to make you right with God. Because Jesus died on the cross, your sins have already been forgiven. Make the decision to put God on the throne as your Lord and Savior of your life!

Do you believe? You may believe but are wondering how you can make this decision in your heart and express this faith. But, what matters is your heart — let your calling on the Lord come from your heart. Just pray in your heart and confess to the Lord and others that you Believe!

Thank you for loving me and forgiving my sins. I believe that Jesus died on the cross to pay the penalty for my sins. I know Jesus then rose again! I admit that I am a sinner, and that I need you to save me. If this seems confusing, it's because He's beyond what anyone can fully comprehend.

In the beginning, God created everything good. There was no sickness, disease or sadness. Everything lived in harmony, and everything lived in harmony with God. Unfortunately, humanity rebelled against the God who created and loved them. Instead of listening to God, we chose to listen to his enemy Satan, who is a liar and a deceiver. Because we rejected God, sin entered into the world and into every human heart. Everything is now distorted and broken.

Everyone is guilty before a perfect and holy God. We are dead in our sins and separated from God. From the moment humanity turned away from God, God made a plan to rescue us from our sins Genesis 3.

He promised that one day, a human would come to destroy evil and to restore our relationship with God. The whole Old Testament points towards this rescuer. When the time was right, God finally provided this rescuer, and it turned out to be God himself! In Jesus Christ, the Son of God became a human in order to rescue humanity from their sin. He lived a perfect, sinless life because we couldn't. He died on the cross, taking the punishment we deserved for our sins.

And then he rose from the dead, proving that death couldn't hold him, and proving that death can't hold us either if we believe in Him. Then, 40 days later, Jesus returned to heaven to resume his reign as the ruler of the universe. Right now, he is King over all things! The life, death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus make it possible for us to restore our relationship with God. Through faith in Jesus, our sins are forgiven and we receive eternal life, to be with God forever!

This life is not the end of the story. God, who created everything good in the beginning, will restore everything to be the way it was meant to be. In fact, things will be even better than we could imagine.

Jesus Christ will return again to bring a new heaven and a new earth. These new heavens and new earth will be a perfect place with no more pain or suffering or evil, and God will live with his people forever Rev. That's right - forever. If you put your hope in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, your life - good, fulfilling, life-as-it-was-always-meant-to-be life - will never end.

This is the good news that Jesus taught! If the good news of Jesus has spoken to you, you can receive eternal life through Jesus Christ right now! Here are your next steps:. The first step is to admit to God that you are a sinner. Like every other human on earth, you have chosen your own way rather than God's way. Could there be a more personal encounter with the crucified, forgiving and healing Jesus?.

Jesus" they experience in their lives. Most of us do need someone to talk to about our challenges, weaknesses, failings - our sinfulness. But Fr. Varghi seems to limit the possibilities for this spiritual healing to priests. In fact, most don't "go to confession" ever. That is not because they don't "need" it, but because many have found that the formal recitation of sins to a priest does little for true reconciliation or healing.

Many do not feel that they "encounter" Jesus in the person of the priest. In fact, many have found just the opposite - that's one reason so many decided that "going to confession" to a priest was not a helpful practice on the spiritual journey. Rather they encounter Jesus in a friend, a neighbor, a work colleague, a child, a spouse, a parent, and yes, a stranger on the subway. Few priests have much real insight into the lives of the laity.

They hear a lot and see a lot, but they don't experience what they see and hear. It gives them one kind of knowledge, but not the most important kind.

So many find a "confessor" elsewhere - a close friend, a member of a group that provides spiritual companionship another member of a prayer group for example , a spiritual director. The possibilities are endless really when you don't demand that the confessor wear a clerical collar. Very often non-clerics are better at helping someone understand their sins, the roots of the sins, and have more "real life" counsel for going forward than the priests are.

I can understand that Fr. Varghi, and Pope Francis and other priests might find that another priest is a "good" confessor - there is much they share in their lives, and many of the "traps" of their state in life are familiar to them. So, I feel most comfortable "confessing" to a woman - and only to women who are married and mothers. If my sin is against my child, it does little to reconcile me with my child to tell a "representative of the christian community" about this sin.

Only by going to my child and "confessing" and asking for forgiveness is there any chance for real healing and real reconciliation. Another mother can help with that.

That is probably why Matthew reports that Jesus told ALL the disciples that they have the power for "binding and loosing" and for seeking and granting forgiveness and reconciliation directly - without involving the "officials" priests in today's church unless absolutely necessary.

It is admirable that Msgr. Vaghi calls attention to the manifold presence of Christ, instead of just concentrating as is often done on the real presence in the Eucharist. I too think that his comments are limited. That reminds me of when I studied the Baltimore Catechism about seven decades ago.

One of the first questions was, "Where is God? Today I see that very differently and try to be awake and aware of my encounters with God which as Bruce Snowden wrote might even be with a praying mantis.

I would pay attention the Msgr. Vaghi's words:"As we imitate the love of Christ, we encounter him within us and in the persons we help" Finding Christ in myself, then I see Christ not just in those for whom I do a service but all of those around me. I believe that coming to that awareness takes some work, not just reading the scripture but taking the time to reflect on its meaning in my life Silence just to be Judith Kubicki, in her book, writes of sacramentality.

It requires the openness of imagination to being surprised by the presence of God in the mundane A sacramental perspective enables us to review the world as the locus where God reveals the Godself to us and where we respond to that revelation. It can be difficult to perceive the presence and action of God in human life without the ability to see the fundamental structures of sacramentality within human existence.

To come back to the church though, there is a very important presence that has not been mentioned. Thank you, Msgr. Log in Social login does not work in incognito and private browsers. Leave your worldly lifestyle and cry out to God on your knees. People are living a worldly lifestyle, suiting their own dreams, goals, and desires.

Some people also live with depression, fear, and anxiety which makes their lives very troubled, but if you are humble and cry out to Jesus, and repent , which means to reject evil and turn away from your sins in your heart fully then he will hear you, speak to you, and help you.

But you have to put Jesus first in your life, and seek a relationship with Him, then you will come to know His voice. You need to be willing to open your heart to the love of Christ. Seek Jesus in prayer. Cry out to Him, he will hear you, and answer you if you mean it! Ask Jesus to save you and forgive you of your sins, and wash you whiter than snow, however you must not return back to your sins. In prayer to Jesus, you must repent of your ways, and decide to put Jesus first.

Jesus will give you peace, a deep peace, and instantly the depression and the darkness will simply disappear. Wait for Jesus to talk to you.

Jesus will talk to you, when you draw near to Him. He will show you how you need to abide with Him, lay your faith in Him, and leave your way. He will show you that to be serious, one has to lay aside their own way, and take up their cross and follow Him! He will show you that no sin enters the kingdom of heaven, and that only if we repent and come to Him for a personal relationship, which is true faith, can we be washed clean and enter the narrow gate to life!

Repent : of sins. Jesus will let you know that he forgives all sins in the past, and if we make mistakes, he forgives them also if we repent and stop doing them, however we must not go and live in sin again, or we will be lost if we don't repent, and thus end up in Hell if we die in our sins!

Jesus speaks of this in the Parable of the Sower.
